Deep down, you know you were born for a reason. You have things you must achieve, a legacy you must leave behind.
Like a lost memory on the edge of thought, there’s an urge within you to expand to find what the mark you leave on the world should look like. Your destiny is unique to you. Your collective giftings, talents and abilities were thoughtfully placed in you as notes of your song by a Creator who lovingly made you with a definite purpose in mind for your life. Because you were made in the image and likeness of your Creator, according to Genesis 1:26, you need to expand and enlarge yourself and your life.
You are impregnated with the spiritual genetics that identify you with your Creator. God imagined humanity’s image using Himself as the blueprint and encased it in physical dimension! The image and likeness is encased in our physical bodies as an eternal being with the spiritual genetics that identifies us with our Creator… “Then God said, 'Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness.' Genesis 1:26a.
It means that you’re created with purpose in every part of you. Even as an unformed mass in your mother’s womb, you already had a unique purpose and a lifespan just as it was revealed to Jeremiah…“Before I formed you in the wom,b I knew you. Before you were born, I sanctified you. I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5.
Each life is a unique song.
Your Creator thought out your potential and abilities before you were even formed. The Creator is intimately involved in the creation of unique individuals. “You formed my being, wove me in my mother’s womb. You knew all about my soul, and my body was no mystery to you... all the days of my life were foreseen by you, set down within your book before they took shape.” Psalm 139:15-16. The meaning of ‘being’ in Psalm 139:15-16 is ‘a wrapped (and unformed mass, i.e., as embryo) substance yet being imperfect.’ So, while your physical form had no distinctive marks to identify it as a particular person, your ‘unformed mass’ already had a definite life span and the potential for your specific personal plan implanted in you.
In the eyes of the Creator, you, as the unformed mass in your mother's womb, were a very definite life with a very definite destiny.
You were formed as an eternal being who moves beyond time and space. You know there’s even more to life than what you now have. You also know that you can reach it if you can only work out what it is. The unique song God placed in you when He made you wants to break through to fill your life and delight your Creator in worship. The song is there, but it's harder to define, but no less persistent; it is dependent on your free choice to fulfil it, to sing it fully. All the notes are there - you simply have to want to sing it through the Creator.
What you do with this life will impact eternity.
Your life has a song to fill this time and space. You have incredible gifts in you to allow you to know your destiny and understand the way to invest your life to ensure you achieve the why of your life. You and your Creator do it together. Inside, in the deep places of your being, you cry out to do just that.
Investing your physical existence will reveal your eternal shape.
Deep inside, you know you can affect eternity. Connecting with the One who lovingly made you releases the ability to enter into what your life was meant to be. It fills in the missing part. You then fill a space in the world that ripples out to others with significance. Your significance produces consequences and draws the importance out. It creates results that endure and endure as your legacy.
Your song goes on. Half the notes don’t make up a complete tune. The meaning of your life song involves the adventure of discovering all the notes. How? Finding the notes of your life.
There are patterns in your life - recurring events and themes. You also have talents and this ‘thing’ that drives your passion. The ‘stuff’ you have a ‘knack’ with. By noting these, you have just discovered a few notes of your song! But there’s much, much more to your life's song. Once you start to pay attention to the themes that run through your life, you find the same themes appearing at distinct and measurable intervals. Upon closer inspection, you’ll find the notes within the themes and begin to discern the melody of the song in your life.
Training your life to sing your song.
As you learn to listen to your life song, you identify those notes that are discordant to your song and learn to flow in the song of your life. The notes are drawn out from the inside of you to form the melody and life you will live outwardly. With each note, you discover why you are here and in the melody of your song, you discover your destiny. You trade in your picture and beliefs about yourself and others for the real self that no longer conforms to the image of the world. How? Through programming your mind for living in your Creator’s full plan for your life.
The full beauty of your life and your magnificent song is revealed as you draw the hidden notes out of yourself through self-discovery.
Anything effective in life has a result it works toward. Success needs a goal. And a goal must have a plan. Significance is added to destiny when your notes are perfectly played in the song of your life. It’s operating in the realisation that you are finely tuned and magnificently made. Michelangelo puts it this way: “The more the marble wastes, the more the statue grows.” By chiselling away the edges, the unformed block of stone starts taking on the shape of the statue - the unformed mass takes on the form of beauty. Just like the marble chips away to allow the emergence of the beautiful statue, the chipping away of those limiting patterns that encase your life allows the real you to emerge, and your song can be sung fully.
Weave the song of your life with your Creator. He wants you to sing together with Him over your life. “…The mighty One will save, He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17 Your song goes on...
Discover more of your song and start singing new notes of your song. Reveal your song fully by taking the next step in your self-discovery to reveal your full song. The Creator placed a core power within you that mirrors that which is in Him.
